I think this page will be a permanent project, you just cant relly buff to much, unless you move up a couple of grades of the polish but I guess that is not recomended

So, still going strong, been polishing with the Abralon "water grinding cloth". Starts with 360 grade and continues with 600, 1000, 2000 and 4000. All with water except the 4000 that I do with Turtles Nanotech Wax. I think the pics speaks for it self. Take care, Bo.

Today I put Isabelle into the cold water.
I have done A LOT on the hull, and below the waterline.
On the gelcoat above the waterline I used, as meantioned below, the Abralon and the Turtle Wax with Nanotech, BOY is this the way to go, really beatyful, the pics speaks for them self.

Below the waterline I have grinded with 60 paper (60 small stones per cm2) on the hole surface. What a job, I will have pain in the shoulders until September.
After that I have paintet 4 layers of 2-comp Epoxy.
I will not use any Antifouling.

I have now found out what is the most, so far, efficent way to buf the hull. It is done with a polishingmashine with the use of a product called Abralon and instead of water I use Turtle Wax Nano Tech Wax

I tryed on o surface in april 2007 and when I spray water on to the surface, september 2007, it bounces of just as it is a newly waxed surface.
Abralon comes in the grade 180, 360, 500, 600, 1000, 2000, 4000.

Okidoki
Now is the time for a complete hull fix-up.
My plan is to bring forward the red stripe well hidden benith two layers of red paint and buff and wax the complet hull.
I will also lower the painted waterline so the white gelcoat is visable. This so I next summer when she is splashed can, with a good pen, mark the new waterline.

Under those red painted layers is there an approximattly1,5mm thick red gelcoat layer.

Unfortunattly didnt they make a white field in the middle of the red stripe, probably because they new they where to install a white rubber list alongside.

Here is just a picture of here at her new spot here in Stockholm.
I have removed both rubber lists and also buffed the white part of the hull. No wax yet.

Here is a picture, pretty good closeup if I may say soo :-), showing the red gelcoat and the hole is after one of the triljon screws that attached the aluminum track to hte hull. The rubber list where attached to the track.

And all four different areas. White buffed hull, red stripe painted not worked on, red stripe sandpapered and red stripe sandpapered and buffed. No wax yet here either.

Seeing any difference of the two sides :-))
This is the area just aft of the rudder.

Okay thats all folks, take care and have a nice end of the sommer.
